Jesse Lambertson approaches information and its formats in a philosophical way and has pursued a metadata track in his career. Jesse held a technical services internship at Folger Shakespeare Library where he created EAD/XML finding aids and edited metadata for their Luna Insight digital image database - simultaneously, he worked as Metadata Specialist for Neighborhood Writing Alliance where he produced documentation of best practices for adding metadata and set standards for tagging resources. Since then, in addition to managing higher-level Marc21-based cataloging processes, he has moved increasingly into scripting, Dublin Core for digital preservation workflows, and python. He has a BA in History from North Carolina State University, a MA in English from the University of North Carolina, and a MLIS from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Jesse is currently Head of Cataloging and Metadata at Georgetown Law Library.
